Answers to our most popular questions

We do not provide wheelchairs. There are paved walkways throughout the park. Both restroom facilities are ADA accessible. Both parking lots have ADA accessible but can be crowded.

Those with special needs should contact us via email for arrangements, ie.) large groups or van access.

Weather Issues?

Brookings is known for a mild winter. Rain can dampen an evening so bring your raincoat. In extreme weather (high winds with heavy rain), we will cancel a night's show. Please follow our Facebook page, tune to KURY 95.3FM or KCIW 100.7FM. We announce by 3pm if we are forced to close.

Where is Santa and Princess Elsa?

Santa, Mrs. Claus and Princess Elsa visit each year. Check our Event Section on our home page or Facebook for more information. Santa, Mrs. Claus and Princess Elsa are stationed in the Gazebo on top of the hill. Please bring your own cameras for photos.

How can I get involved?

This event is completely set up and staffed by volunteers. The community is asked to string lights the first Saturday of November and take them down the first Saturday in January. Local businesses and organizations staff the event each night. In addition, our sponsor's generous donations keep the lights burning bright!  Please email us for more information about volunteering, download the PDF below about Hosting a night. Follow the link on the right top corner of this page for Sponsorship. Have a display or lights to donate? Please email us for information and review the guidelines below.

Can I borrow or rent your displays for a wedding or other functions?

We do not loan or rent out any of our displays, materials or lights. This policy has no exceptions. Please, don't place us in the position of having to decline your request.

How much does it cost? Are there food and drinks? Is there music?

Hot Cocoa, Hot Cider and cookies are available at the Snack Shack. Donations are always appreciated. Our entry fee is $2.00 for adults and kids under 12 are free! Children under 16 must be with an adult.

There is always a variety of holiday music played at the light show. Many songs are synced with our Mega Tree Lights show.
