Where do I park? Wheelchairs? ADA parking?

Where do I park? Wheelchairs? ADA parking?

We do not provide wheelchairs. There are paved walkways throughout the park. Both restroom facilities are ADA accessible. Two small paved parking lots located on Old County Rd have ADA accessible but can be crowded. The larger parking lot located on North Bank Rd offers the best ADA parking.

Those with special needs should contact us via email for arrangements, ie.) large groups or transit van access.Signs are displayed on Hwy 101 showing the way to the large parking lot.

Weather Issues?

Extreme weather is always an issue on the coast during December. Storms  can impact our opening for a night or force us to close early.  We follow  weather.com for the Brookings Harbor area (zip code 97415). We post on  our Facebook page by 3pm if we know the weather will not permit an  opening. If the  weather turns for the worse after we open, we will close  early and  again post on Facebook. We suggest you plan your visits  accordingly.

This event is completely set up and staffed by volunteers. The community is asked to string lights the first Saturday of November (2021 we have moved up the date to October 30th) and take them down the first Saturday in January. Local businesses and organizations staff the event each night. In addition, our sponsor's generous donations keep the lights burning bright!  Please email us for more information about volunteering, download the PDF below about Hosting a night. Follow the link on the right top corner of this page for Sponsorship. Have a display or lights to donate? Please email us for information and review the guidelines below.
Interested in being a Board Member? We ask that you pledge to donate several hours of your time up to and including the dates of the show. Our Board is a working Board with everyone giving of their time and talents.

Hot Cocoa, Hot Cider and cookies are available at the Snack Shack. Donations are always appreciated. Our entry fee is $3.00 for adults and kids under 12 are free! Children under 16 must be with an adult.

There is always a variety of holiday music played at the light show. Many songs are synced with our Mega Tree Lights show.

We  hold the event in a public park where dogs are allowed on leash.  However, with the darkness, busy pathways and unfamiliar surroundings  things can happen. Leashes wrapped around legs, a cookie snatched from a  small child's hand or aggressive barking are all possible. We love dogs  but are always concerned for them. We ask that caution be exercised and  perhaps your pup would do better in the car or left at home. Nature's  Coastal Holiday cannot be held accountable for what can happen.
